We first showed off Super Combat Jr 2 months ago. Then we showed it again. Then we showed it again, but this time in another state. And this weekend we were invited to show it off here in Madison, WI one more time. First a trailer, then some words and instagram links:
We’ve been on this part of the road for a while now. Switching modes to showing off games then developing games and then showing them off again is exhausting. It’s especially hard for us considering our burgeoning indie scene in Madison only has a few events only for insiders. And you we want all of you to check us out.
A few of you might already know this, but #CombatJr is the tag we give to the multiplayer portion of the full project. Part of the reason we’ve been on this stretch for so long is that we’ve been fully revamping CJr’s engine to accommodate a single player mode. The full project will be called The Moon Fields x Combat Jr Combo Cart. The name is kind of an insider joke reminding me of bootleg carts my Grandma would get me on her trips to the Philippines, but it’s also to emphasize that both portions of the game are equally important to us. The multiplayer portion is a fun way to get your friends together, but the single player portion will be a way for us to evoke some emotions from the player and tell an interesting story. The intersection between the two is really the goal.
Anyways, enough with the grandiose. Here are some instagram shots of new stuff coming as we develop the single player and multiplayer in tandem:
